To serve the needs of the LGBTQ community in the greater Glens Falls/lower Adirondack region.
OUR HISTORY
The Bridge was founded by LGBTQ activist Andrea Adams in March 2006. She passed away in 2015, but a group of board members continued her work, organizing June PRIDE events in Crandall Park for many years. Now the group is revitalized, and seeking new volunteers to carry the torch forward.
Founded in 2008, Adirondack Winery is recognized as one of the most celebrated and acclaimed wineries in New York state. They offer over 35 fruit-infused and traditional varietal wines and their Tasting Rooms in Lake George and Queensbury are frequently listed as top attractions in the region. Adirondack Winery wines can be found in over 450 New York liquor stores and restaurants and are available for purchase 24/7 at adkwinery.com. The vineyard located in Champlain New York in the Champlain Valley of New York AVA. They have 5600 vines planted in our estate. Uniquely, they grow hybrid vines or what they call 'Nordic Vines' that thrive in our region with cold climate and short growing seasons. They produce wine exclusively from their own vines and follow an age-old tradition of aging wine in oak barrels before bottling them.
Our locally produced New York State winery is located just 1.5 miles from the beautiful Lake George. Experience a truly one-of-a-kind wine tasting at Ledge Rock Hill Winery. I am fortunate to possess the spirit, love, and looks of the most recognized figure in the world, Santa Claus. I make people joyful and help them keep the spirit of Christmas alive all year long. I began portraying Santa in 2013 at Albany lights in the Park after being asked by a friend and fellow Santa, Mel Deigel. I originally started portraying Santa with a theatrical beard, but realized I loved it so much that I grew my own Beard instead. I have been blessed to visit with children Locally at many events and locations through the years.
NorthCountryARTS is a non-profit cultural organization providing opportunities, encouragement and promotion for artists in the North Country since 1971. It not only provides gallery opportunities, but has additional shows at Crandall Public Library, the Queensbury Hotel, and other places around the region.
NCA provides opportunities to artists through exhibitions at the NCA Gallery in the Shirt Factory, at NCA's 2nd Floor Gallery in Glens Falls City Hall and the Mezzanine Gallery at the Queensbury Hotel, as well as special shows at Crandall Public Library in July and August and at other venues throughout the year.
