Who has the best wings? YOU be the judge! Wing Fest in Downtown Glens Falls is an annual event where restaurants compete to see who has the best wings. Tasting is from noon to 3 p.m. with an awards ceremony to follow at 3:30 p.m. in the City Park bandstand. Tickets are $1 per ticket, and the number of tickets to taste varies by restaurant.
We always have live music, plenty of great wings and awards in several categories! This year we’ll also have plein aire artists from NorthCountryArts in the park. Stay tuned for news about our Inferno Wing Eating competition!

There will be four prizes up for grabs: Best Wings, Best Visitor for those who are not serving from their storefront, Best Rookie for a first-time restaurant, and Best Meatless Entree for vegetarian or vegan offerings. Voting will take place online at glensfallscollaborative.com. QR codes for voting will be displayed around town.
This year’s ‘celebrity judges’ include Glens Falls Mayor Bill Collins, Council at Large Jim Clark, News10 anchor Solomon Syed, Bridie Farrell, 4 time Olympic Trial Speed Skater from North Creek who holds 3 American Records and is the founder of NY Loves Kids, and Chef Armand Vanderstigchel of Brasserie Benelux on Broadway in Saratoga Springs. Chef Vanderstigchel is also a published cookbook author.
This year’s Wing Fest is presented in honor of Mike DuBray, who chaired and emceed the event for many years.
There will be an opening ceremony at 11:30 a.m. at the City Park Bandstand that will include the National Anthem sung by the St Mary-St Alphonsus School Choir and a proclamation by Mayor Collins proclaiming the day to be “DeeJay Mike DuBray Day”. The Kiwanis club of Glens Falls will be making a Scholarship Announcement and Presentation to a Key Club Student.
New this year will be our 1st annual Michael DuBray Inferno Wing Eating Competition sponsored by Davidson Brothers! The competition will take place at 2 p.m. on Glen Street (in front of Davidson Brothers) during our Wing Fest Event. Competitors will pay a registration fee of $25 that will go into a Michael DuBray Scholarship Fund. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver release form. The winner will receive a trophy and bragging rights.
O’Brien Insurance is offering a flag exchange from noon to 1 p.m. Bring your tattered, torn, faded flag to be disposed of properly and trade for a brand new one to display proudly. Offered while supplies last.
