NorthCountryARTS is a non-profit cultural organization providing opportunities, encouragement and promotion for artists in the North Country since 1971. It not only provides gallery opportunities, but has additional shows at Crandall Public Library and other places around the region. It sponsors a spring workshop series at the Shirt Factory in Glens Falls and a Youth Visions Program among high school students.
NCA provides opportunities to artists through exhibitions at the NCA Gallery in the Shirt Factory and at NCA's 2nd Floor Gallery in GF City Hall as well as special shows at Crandall Public Library and the Wood Theater. NCA encourages and promotes artists in the North Country.

The Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC) was founded in 1972 to unify the arts community and establish a cultural identity for the region. LARAC is honored to support the local artistic tradition while challenging and inspiring the community’s vision of what art is and what it contributes to our lives. LARAC hosts exhibitions, workshops, and other arts related events that are open to the public. Services for artists and arts organizations include professional development seminars, gallery and gift shop exhibition opportunities, arts festivals, grants for arts and cultural projects, and more. LARAC is located in a beautifully restored Victorian carriage house in the historic district of downtown Glens Falls, NY.
Crandall Public Library offers about 350,000 reading, viewing, and listening materials (including digital formats); a Children’s Library with several activity spaces; a Teen Center; computer and internet access; expansive educational, cultural, and literary programs for all ages; free meeting/program space for local non-profits; and a comfortable, accessible space in which to read, study, and socialize. The Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library offers programs, exhibits, and research related to cultural traditions of the region.

The Hyde is one of the Northeast’s exceptional small art museums with distinguished collections of European and American art. Comparable to that of a major metropolitan museum, the core collection, acquired by Museum founders Louis and Charlotte Hyde, includes works by such artists as Sandro Botticelli, El Greco, Rembrandt, Peter Paul Rubens, Edgar Degas, Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and American artists Thomas Eakins, Childe Hassam, Winslow Homer, and James McNeill Whistler. The Museum’s collection of Modern and Contemporary art features works by artists including Josef Albers, Dorothy Dehner, Sam Gilliam, Adolph Gottlieb, Grace Hartigan, Ellsworth Kelly, Sol LeWitt, George McNeil, Robert Motherwell, Ben Nicholson, Robert Rauschenberg, and Bridget Riley. Today, The Hyde offers significant national and international exhibitions and events, allowing visitors to experience art in new ways.
