This beloved annual celebration transforms the heart of Glens Falls into a winter wonderland, filled with holiday cheer, live entertainment, and community spirit.
The festivities kick off Friday evening in Glens Falls City Park with the traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:00 p.m., featuring Santa Claus, Glens Falls Mayor Bill Collins, and other local leaders and community partners.
Following the tree lighting, Santa will make his way down Glen Street to join the fun at the community-style block party from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., where families can enjoy:
- Photos with Santa
- Performances by the Bolton Dance Academy and other local dance groups
- Horse and wagon rides through Downtown
- Live music from the Candy Cane Quartet
Downtown businesses will stay open late, offering holiday specials, sales, giveaways, and festive treats throughout the evening. Visitors are encouraged to explore, shop local, and experience all that Downtown Glens Falls has to offer.
The celebration continues Saturday, as the Glens Falls Collaborative partners with The Hyde Collection for a full day of holiday activities.
The Hyde will host free family-friendly craft sessions at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., while the classic holiday film The Grinch will play from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Santa will make another special appearance at The Hyde from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., spreading even more holiday joy.
