Who has the best wings? YOU be the judge!
Join us at our annual Wing Fest in Downtown Glens Falls, where restaurants compete to see who has the best wings. Will the Bullpen Tavern and 190 Grille keep their titles? Come and see!
Tasting is from noon to 3 p.m. with an awards ceremony to follow at 3:30 p.m. in the City Park bandstand.
We’ll have live music by The Sound Factory in City Park’s bandstand and on the street by The Lounge Lizards and Phil Camp.
Tickets are $1 per ticket, and the number of tickets to taste varies by restaurant. Tasters must try from 6 or more different restaurants to vote. There are two awards: People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice. Judges this year include Jeff Mead from the Glens Falls Civic Center, Tim Drawbridge from WTEN, Dr. John Rugge of Hudson Headwaters Health Network and Health Foundation, Emily Murphy of Charles Wood Theater, Cristina Britton of Glens Falls Hospital and Judge Martin Auffredou.
New this year: T-shirts featuring Henrietta, the chicken depicted in the trophy created by artist Phyllis Brown. The shirt design is created by Rodney Bentley, and printed locally by Wombat Graphics. They come free with a $20 donation to the Arts Trail, a new downtown project connecting 10 arts destinations within the City of Glens Falls. Donations can be made at Samantha’s Cafe at 193 Glen Street in Downtown Glens Falls ON SALE NOW! They will also be for sale at the ticket tables during Wing Fest.
